A mobile crane cabin is the operator's workplace on the crane's superstructure: it slews with the boom, so the operator always faces the load. KRANHAUSS builds mobile crane cabins to order for mobile cranes, truck cranes and crawler cranes, as new cabins for crane builders and as replacements for cranes in service. Our team has built crane cabins in Ankara since 2004, for clients in about 15 countries.
Built for a crane that travels
A mobile crane moves from site to site on roads and rough ground, so its cabin must be compact, stiff and well fixed. The cabin is designed to the space beside the boom, with the door, steps and handholds placed for safe access, and the glazing laid out for the view up to the boom tip and down to the load.
Climate and controls
Heating and cooling come from our own crane air conditioning units, which both heat and cool. The seat and controls are placed for the operator's reach, and the control layout follows the crane builder's system or one of our own control stations.
Fitted to your crane
Send the crane make and model, a mounting drawing or photos of the current cabin and the controls you use. Our engineers propose the cabin size, the window and door arrangement and the climate unit, and adapt the cabin to the mounting points on the superstructure.
Made to order and quoted per project
Each mobile crane cabin is designed and built to order under our ISO 9001:2015 certified quality management system. There is no list price: you receive a written quotation with the scope of supply, and delivery terms are agreed per order.
Frequently asked questions
Do you build the operator cabin or the driver's cab?
We build the operator cabin on the crane's superstructure, the one that slews with the boom. The driver's cab on the carrier belongs to the vehicle and is not part of our range.
Can you replace the cabin of a crane in service?
Yes. We take the dimensions and mounting points from your drawings or from the old cabin and build a new cabin for the same place.
Is the cabin air-conditioned?
Yes. Our crane air conditioning units both cool and heat and are sized to the cabin and the site climate.
