Electrical Rooms
Climate-controlled electrical component housing for optimal equipment protection and performance
A crane electrical room is a climate-controlled steel enclosure that protects sensitive components such as variable frequency drives, PLCs and switchgear from dust, moisture and temperature extremes. Founded in 2004, KRANHAUSS manufactures electrical rooms to order at its Ankara facility and exports to more than 50 countries. Every room is configured around your equipment list and site conditions — dimensions, ventilation and access layout follow the project rather than a fixed catalogue size.
Standard and Heavy-Duty Types
The range covers two families. Standard Type rooms (Types 1, 2 and 3) serve standard crane applications and scale from a reliable base configuration to a premium build suited to high-end control systems. Heavy-Duty Type rooms (Types 1 and 2) use a more robust construction for heavy-duty and extreme heavy-duty installations where vibration, dust load and ambient temperature are harsher.
All models share the same engineering basis: a weather-resistant steel frame, secure lockable access, organized internal equipment mounting and a layout planned for maintenance accessibility. Ventilation is natural or forced depending on the heat load, and dimensions and weight vary by configuration — the room is matched to the project, not the other way around.
Selection Criteria and Quote Process
Three factors drive selection: the heat dissipation and footprint of the installed drives, PLCs and switchgear; the ambient conditions at site (dust, humidity, temperature); and the access arrangement your maintenance team needs. Where passive ventilation is not enough, active cooling can be integrated using KRANHAUSS's own industrial air conditioners designed for electrical rooms and control panels.
Products are CE certified, and manufacturing runs company-wide under ISO 9001 quality and ISO 3834-2 welding quality management systems alongside EN 1090. Because every room is engineered to order, there are no list prices: share your equipment list or single-line diagram through the quote form and our engineers will respond with a recommended type and configuration.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can the electrical room be sized around our switchgear and drive layout?
Yes. Every room is made to order and available in various sizes. Door positions, internal mounting arrangement, ventilation and access control are configured around your equipment list and electrical drawings, with clearances planned for safe maintenance. If your project does not fit a standard footprint, our engineering team defines the layout together with you.
What construction and certifications do the rooms have?
The housings are built on a weather-resistant steel frame with lockable access systems and natural or forced ventilation. Products are CE certified to applicable electrical standards, and KRANHAUSS operates company-wide under ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 3834-2 and EN 1090. Exact materials, insulation and finish are specified per project during engineering.
How do I get a price?
KRANHAUSS does not publish list prices because each electrical room is engineered to order. Submit a quote request with your crane type, equipment list and site conditions; our team reviews the requirements and returns a technical and commercial proposal. Sharing drawings or a single-line diagram speeds up the process considerably.
Do you ship internationally, and on what terms?
Yes. Founded in 2004 and based in Ankara, KRANHAUSS serves customers in more than 50 countries worldwide. Packaging, transport arrangements, delivery schedule and Incoterms are agreed individually per order at the quotation stage, so the final terms reflect your destination, configuration and project timeline.
