    Operator Cabins

Custom-designed operator cabins for various crane applications with ergonomic design and climate control

KRANHAUSS has manufactured crane operator cabins in Ankara since 2004 and today serves clients in more than 50 countries. The range covers ten models, from the heavy-duty OperCab-01-HD to three marine types for shipyard and port cranes, all built to order with a reinforced steel frame, insulated panels, laminated safety glass and integrated climate control. Production is CE certified and runs under an ISO 9001 quality management system.

A model for every duty cycle

The lineup is structured around application severity. OperCab-01-HD is the heavy-duty choice for demanding industrial conditions, while OperCab-01L offers a light, compact format for standard crane applications. OperCab-17 is the cost-effective option for general operations and OperCab-03 suits medium-scale duties. OperCab-09 adds a premium interior finish, advanced climate management and integrated communication systems for long shifts; OperCab-01C is built around a fully customizable layout with flexible control panel positioning. For shipyards, ports and offshore sites, Marine Types 1, 2 and 3 combine marine-grade steel, salt-water resistant coatings and dehumidification in three escalating protection levels. Beyond these, OperCab-Special is engineered from scratch to project requirements.

    Construction and operator environment

Every operator cabin starts with a reinforced steel frame and insulated panels. Glazing is laminated safety glass of 6-8 mm, arranged for panoramic visibility of the hook and load path. Vibration and noise dampening, fire-resistant materials and emergency exit systems are standard engineering practice. Heating and cooling are available, including heavy-duty crane air conditioners from our own HVAC line, and KRANHAUSS control stations and operator seats can be integrated into the layout. Dimensions and weight vary by configuration: the cabin is dimensioned around your crane geometry, not the other way around.

Made to order, quoted per project

There are no shelf-stock cabins and no list prices; each unit is specified and manufactured per order. The workflow is straightforward: you share the crane type, mounting situation, dimensional constraints and site climate conditions; our engineers propose a model and configuration; you receive a formal quotation with a confirmed scope of supply. Shipping arrangements and Incoterms are agreed individually for every order. Send your drawings or a short description of the application through the quote form and we will come back with a concrete proposal.

    Frequently Asked Questions

Can the cabin be adapted to our crane's dimensions and mounting?

Yes. Custom sizes are available across the range, and OperCab-01C and OperCab-Special exist specifically for non-standard layouts. The mounting interface, door position, window arrangement and control panel layout are defined per order, so the cabin is engineered around your existing crane structure rather than forcing the crane to fit a fixed product.

What materials and glazing are used?

Cabins are built on reinforced steel frames with insulated panels and fire-resistant materials. Glazing is laminated safety glass, 6-8 mm depending on the model; 8 mm is used on the heavy-duty OperCab-01-HD and the premium OperCab-09. Marine models add marine-grade steel and salt-water resistant coatings for corrosion protection.

Do you supply cabins for port and shipyard cranes?

Yes. Marine Types 1, 2 and 3 are designed for maritime environments, with marine-grade corrosion protection, enhanced weather sealing and humidity control offered in three escalating protection levels, up to a heavy-duty construction for extreme offshore conditions. All three are intended for shipyard and port crane applications.

How do quoting and delivery work?

Every cabin is made to order, so pricing follows a quotation based on your specification. KRANHAUSS exports to more than 50 countries; delivery terms, Incoterms and lead times are agreed individually per order. Once you share your application details, our team prepares a tailored offer for your project.
